About Brighter Surveyors
Brighter Surveyors Limited is an independent, RICS-regulated practice based in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge. We provide Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys and residential valuations across Kent, Surrey and East Sussex.
Qualifications and experience
Matt Bright BSc (Hons) MRICS is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over a decade of residential surveying experience. Our Level 3 survey experience includes:
- Grade II listed houses and cottages.
- Historic timber-framed properties.
- Oasts and barn conversions.
- Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes.
- Substantially altered and extended buildings.
- Properties requiring renovation or significant repairs.
RICS-regulated practice
Brighter Surveyors Limited is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Before you instruct us, we provide a quotation and Terms of Engagement explaining the service and its scope.
Our approach
We assess each property with regard to its age, construction, condition and visible alterations. Our reports explain the findings, supported by photographs, and identify defects, recommended next steps and matters for your legal adviser.
The detail and advice depend on the survey level. Inspections are visual and non-intrusive; any access restrictions or limitations are recorded in the report.
Before and after your survey
We can help you choose a survey based on the property and your plans. Before the inspection, you can raise any particular concerns. Once you have received the report, a follow-up conversation gives you the opportunity to discuss the findings and recommendations.
